This is a public art project that I collaborated on with artist Adele Mattern during the summer of 2009. The Tunnel crosses beneath High Street in the Clintonville neighborhood of Columbus, OH and was constructed so students at Clintonville Elementary School could cross this busy street safely. The imagery in the tunnel was derived from drawings made by the students at the school which were made in response to the tunnel. Images where then transferred to the walls, all misspelling preserved, and were painted using colors as close to the original drawings as possible.
